Scientists in Austria say they have developed a powerful new medicine to prevent bird flu. The scientists say the vaccine can be manufactured quickly. A report on the bird flu vaccine appeared in the New England Journal of
Medicine this week. The report says this preventative treatment is different because it is made using cells from the animals called monkeys instead of from the eggs of farm birds.
